MUMBAI: Over 25 companies have responded to the pre-qualification meet for introduction of the integrated ticketing system.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) plans to facilitate seamless travel for commuters using a single smartcard on buses and trains. MMRDA officials said many companies had plans to tie up with international firms that had experience in the field of integrated ticketing.
“Commuters in cities like London, New York and Singapore avail of the seamless travel facility,” said a senior MMRDA official.
